Roger's brother told us about a new RV park, still under construction, in LaBelle, FL that they were considering for next year. We looked it up on the internet and decided to take a ride down there to take a look see. It's called Oak Park RV Resort. It has all brick paver pads and is mostly RVs, not park models, which is a big plus for it in our book. We took a tour and talked to the office. It's a very nice park and will be even better when construction ends this year. They are even building a 146 seat onsite restaurant and a little General Store. There is already a small café and a beauty/barber shop onsite. They also will be growing their own fresh produce and selling it onsite. We'll keep an eye on this one and see how it goes. It's much smaller than where we are and because it's all RVs, and all new...people will be much more open to socializing together and making friends than in a park like where we are now that is so huge and has so many permanents. If we hadn't paid for 3 months in advance here (non-refundable)....I'd highly suggest hooking up and moving down there. It's about an hour south of here.
Live and Learn....when RVing, do NOT tie yourself into a long term in a park...there might be something better down the road AND traveling around is what it's all about.
